For God So Loved The World that He Gave His Only Begotten Son That Whom Soever Believes in Him Shall have Eternal life! John 3:16
How many times have you walked down the street and seen a Goth, street Walker, homeless person, drug addict or Gay person looked at them disapprovingly and said to yourself, "At least I'm not like them" or even a quiet prayer saying to the Lord "At least I'm not as much of a sinner as they are Lord"!?!
Firstly, if you are a Christian(someone who has asked the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart) then you are required by God's law NOT to judge others or you will be judged by the same measure as you judge (Luke 6:36, Matthew 7:1, John 7:24) secondly, the Bible also states very clearly that as far as God is concerned sin is sin, there are no differing degrees!
In other words, the lie that you told, or the money you didn't give back when you discovered that you had been given too much change (as far as God is concerned) is no different to what the prostitute, the homosexual or the murderer does. Jesus made this extremely clear when He stood with the prostitute that was about to be stoned by the Pharisees (the religious people of the day) and replied to their question about what should be done, "You who is without sin cast the first stone".
Thirdly, to understand how wrong it is for ANY Christian (or follower of Christ) all you need to do is take a look at who Jesus hung around with and who He chose as His disciples!
Then of course there is Paul (namely Saul before God got hold of him in the desert)!
Now, anyone who has been a Christian for even a short while knows who Paul is and that he wrote a whole stack of the New Testament! You don't have to look very hard to find out that Paul was a murderer, and he didn't kill just anyone, he actively persecuted and killed followers of Christ by the dozens! You could even go as far as saying (by reading what Paul himself says about the situation) that it he believed that it was his duty to kill the followers of this person that called himself the Messiah)!
YET.....God chose him to become one of His most avid spokesman who is still well know 2000 years later!
So, next time you walk past that person that looks different or lives a life that you disapprove of REMEMBER, that God loves them as much as He loves you (God is no respecter of persons) and just because at this moment in their lives they are not living as God requires them to DOESN'T firstly mean you have the right to judge them (YOU DON'T COS THE BIBLE SAYS SO) and secondly, how do you know that God doesn't have plans to use them as He did Saul and thirdly, you are no better than they are, you just know Jesus so have been saved!
So, instead of walking past and judging them I challenge you to take a few minutes out of your day(isn't the increase of the Kingdom of God the MOST important thing in our Christian lives next to our personal relationship with God? We are also required as Christians to go into all the world and preach the Gospel! It's right there in your Bible) and show some of the love for the lost that Jesus showed them (after all is that not what being a follower of Christ is all about, doing as Christ did?)! STOP saying "Oh I can't stop I'm too busy" (was Christ to busy for you?) or "That's not my ministry", or "Someone else will do it, they are better at it than me" (do you think the disciples were able to get away with those excuses)!
Tell them that they are actually loved by someone and show them that love by sacrificing a few minutes out of your day(being a few minutes late to where ever you are going is not going to matter much when you get to Heaven is it, but what WILL matter is when God asks why you didn't stop to tell the people that he loves and adores as much as you that God loves them and is willing to help them!
Because at the end of the day, if you don't take the opportunities that God gives you to witness to the lost and they die that night, their blood is on YOUR hands!
